Pamela Brown M.S.
Pam has worked with Dr. Michael Dunn and the Substance Use Research Group at the University of Central Florida since she was an undergraduate student in 2001. As a member of this research team, she has conducted research with families, adults, and college students. She has also served as an intervention specialist for a clinical trial that compared brief alcohol interventions for college students and is involved in the prevention of substance use disorders within the community by performing duties as Orange County’s Substance Abuse Resource Guide coordinator. Pam is also a member of the Orange County Coalition for a Drug-Free Community, in Orange County, Orlando, Florida and serves on several committees involved in developing initiatives to reduce underage alcohol use. Her dissertation research is the development and evaluation of a web-based parent program to reduce alcohol use in adolescents. She will complete her predoctoral internship at the Connecticut VA Healthcare System’s West Haven VA Hospital in August 2010.

Jenn Siva M.S. (Curriculum Vitae)

Jenn Siva M.S.
Jenn joined the SURG lab in 2005 and is currently a fourth-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. Her Master's Thesis involved implementing a classroom-based alcohol use prevention curriculum with first-year students at UCF. She was fortunate in translating the results of her thesis into a 2-year grant project funded by the U.S. Department of Education. She is currently wrapping up work on the grant project and turning her focus to her dissertation, which will involve a partnership project with the Seminole County school system. Following completion of her doctoral degree, Jenn hopes to return to her hometown of Toronto, Canada to pursue life in academia and continue working in alcohol use prevention.

Amy Schreiner B.A.
Originally from New Jersey, Amy joined the SURG lab in 2007 and is currently a third-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. She is currently working on her Master's Thesis involving the expansion of an alcohol expectancy-based curriculum for use in large classrooms and hopes to complete it this fall. Upon graduation, Amy would like to continue in academia conducting research in the areas of substance abuse intervention and prevention.

Abigail Fried B.S.

Abigail Fried B.S.
Abi graduated from the University of Florida in 2008 with a B.S. in Psychology. She is currently a graduate student in the SURG lab and a second-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology. While currently working on her Master’s Thesis she is also an intervention provider at the Alcohol and Other Drug office on campus. After achieving her doctoral degree, Abi plans to continue working in Florida within academia conducting substance use research.

Alyssa Boucher B.A.

Alyssa Boucher B.A.
Alyssa received a B.A. from the University of Miami in 2009 with a major in psychology and minor in family and human services. She was awarded the Provost Fellowship shortly thereafter and matriculated into the doctoral program in clinical psychology. Upon completion of her doctoral degree, Alyssa would like to work in academia pursuing substance use research and teaching.
